… to my website dedicated to the art of making sculptural boxes. I’ve been making unusual jewelry boxes since 1990 and have won numerous awards while being featured in many books and magazines. Throughout the 90′s I was traveling the country from coast to coast selling my boxes at art fairs. From 2000 – present I focus my efforts on mastering existing designs, creating new designs, and selling to high end American craft galleries throughout the USA and in exhibitions in the UK. Most of my boxes are sold to box collectors and those who seek a jewelry box that is also a work of art. For more about me, see my Bio.
With the exception of the Pinnacle Box and the Cricket Box, all compartments are lined with genuine recycled Ultrasuede. This is a very soft, classy, and expensive material perfect for protecting and storing jewelry. Also, it will not speed up the tarnishing of silver jewelry like some other materials will. The Helical , Pinnacle , and Trapezoid jewelry boxes all have secret compartments which are held in place with rare-earth magnets. These compartments make efficient use of space in the boxes that would normally be unused. The Trapezoid Box also has hidden in its base 1 pound of buckshot to give it balance when all the trays are opened and to give it a look of defying gravity.
All of my jewelry boxes are finished using a proprietary blend of natural resins which I perfected in my 20 years of box making. Each piece is then meticulously hand polished for a beautiful look and feel.
